La Blanca launches luxury activewear line built for women in motion

La Blanca parent brand expands beyond swimwear with a performance collection designed for Pilates, pickleball, and every moment in between.

Cypress, Calif., Feb. 13, 2025 – Manhattan Beachwear, the Southern California-based company behind women’s swimwear brands La Blanca and Maxine of Hollywood, has launched a new luxury activewear collection designed to move seamlessly from morning workout to afternoon errands to sunset social, without a wardrobe change.

The launch marks Manhattan Beachwear’s first expansion into activewear, drawing on the company’s nearly four decades of swimwear construction expertise to build a performance line that doesn’t sacrifice style. The collection features breathable, technical fabrics with built-in support, polo shirts with integrated cups, mesh insets for ventilation, and multi-functional silhouettes designed to pack light and wear often. Every piece layers effortlessly and fits equally well at the country club, on the court, or en route to either.

“Our customer was already wearing La Blanca beyond the water—during travel days, poolside lunches, recreational sports, and day-to-day errands,” said Rosanna Brearley, Head Designer for La Blanca. “This new line came from that moment when swim meets movement, and lifestyle meets performance. We use the same care and craftsmanship we bring to swimwear, but with a performance mindset.”

The launch arrives as pickleball, Pilates, and resort-adjacent sports continue to drive demand for activewear that looks as refined as it performs. La Blanca’s new line fills the gap between the country club and the gym bag. The full collection will be available at lablanca.com, houseofswim.com  and through select retail partners in Spring 2026.
